General Information
Journal of Student Engagement in Higher Education
Title: Journal of Student Engagement in Higher Education
Purpose:
The purpose of the Journal of Student Engagement in Higher Education (JSEHE) is to promote and enhance research and practice in the college student affairs profession and to deliver new knowledge and best practices to higher education college student personnel faculty and practitioners in the areas of student engagement, student services, student development, international education, and student affairs.
Rationale:
The occurrences of opportunities for students to participate in civic engagement, service projects (both on and off campus), international educational endeavors, and other institutionally sponsored projects that contribute to the students’ holistic development and total education are increasing on many campuses in the mid-central region. However, the dissemination of information about such activities and opportunities and the conduct of research to measure their effects lags behind the occasions of these practices. Thus, a medium for sharing of such information can serve to inform the educators in the region about beneficial activities, to enhance the impact of these activities through replication, and to challenge colleagues to creatively develop additional opportunities for students, faculty, and administrators.
